India's foreign exchange reserves climb

India has realized two consecutive weeks of substantial gains in its foreign exchange reserves, largely due to concessional swap facilities offered to banks by the Reserve Bank of India. After a jump of US$2.03 billion in the week ended Sept. 20, the reserves stood at US$277.38 billion.
