Interbrand: Apple is now world's most valuable brand

Apple has supplanted Coca-Cola as the world's top global brand, according to Interbrand's annual Best Global Brands report, ending the soda giant's 13-year run at No. 1. Six of the report's top 10 are technology companies: Apple, Google, IBM, Microsoft, Samsung and Intel -- although IBM was technically listed as a business-services brand. These companies are on top because "they have literally changed the way we live our lives," said Jez Frampton, Interbrand's global chief executive.
