Mich. schools are required to make time for Pledge of Allegiance

Michigan enacted a law at the start of the school year requiring schools to provide students with an opportunity to recite the Pledge of Allegiance and display a U.S. flag at the site where students are able to recite the pledge. However, students are not required to recite the pledge and, in some cases, the "pledge time" has sparked debate among students in the classroom.
