Report: The far-out, not-so-far-from-reality in future war-fighting

Cyborgs, 3D printing, autonomous drones and ray guns -- or directed-energy weapons -- are seriously considered to be likely developments in the future of war-fighting, according to an assessment by the defense think tank Center for New American Security. "While these technologies may not yet be available, they are no longer in the realm of science fiction," the center concludes in a new report.
