Retailers find a balance with ship-from-store option

A growing number of traditional retailers including Wal-Mart, Best Buy and Gap are now filling online orders from store shelves in a push to speed delivery times and compete against online retailers such as Amazon. "Some people talk about Amazon with their 100 distribution centers, God bless them. We have 2,600 distribution centers," Gap CEO Glenn Murphy said of the retailer's Gap, Banana Republic and Old Navy stores.
