Teachers rev up math, science lessons at NASCAR camp

Dozens of teachers recently gathered for professional development at a Delaware NASCAR racetrack. The program highlighted how racing offers new ways to teach math and engineering. "As a teacher, I can sit up there and give my kids a formula and have them do it over and over again. Or I can show them what that formula means in the context of a NASCAR race. Which one do you think they're going to pay more attention to?" science teacher Colin Crandell said.
