Virtual initiative brings blended learning to language studies

Middlebury College in Vermont has teamed with K12 Inc. to form Middlebury Interactive Languages, a platform to help students learn languages in virtual and traditional schools. The curriculum uses modern tools such as gaming and interactive media to teach courses in Chinese, Spanish, French, German and Latin. Middlebury also strives to create an immersion learning environment that promotes cultural understanding.
