Debate continues over weight loss programs

As Medicare health advisers prepare to discuss the details, including safety and cost, of obesity treatments, some obesity researchers are torn over the health effects of weight loss programs themselves. The government health program says it is considering whether it will cover obesity surgery for people who are simply obese, not just for people who are suffering health problems because of their weight.
