Philadelphia contract talks extended 10 more days

Yesterday, the Philadelphia School District and its teacher union extended the contract talks deadline from today until Oct. 10. James Nevels, the School Reform Commission chairman, said his group had agreed to the teachers union request for the extension to allow as much time as possible to "get this done and get it done right."
