Foliage by rail

Rather than driving to enjoy the changing fall foliage, many travelers are booking rail trips with September business up 22% from last year, according to train operators. The Maine Eastern Railroad has already booked more than double its passenger load so far this season and Amtrak's Downeaster is offering day-trip specials.
