Boston mayor seeks to let sunshine in on greenway

Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino is pushing for a proposal to limit skyscrapers along the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway. The Boston Redevelopment Authority asked for proposals last week on keeping the greenway sunlit. "Public funds created a great open space along the greenway, and now we have private developers who want to put shadows in that open space," said Menino. "We don't want to allow that."
