Texas school will use tilt-up construction

The Leander Independent School District in Texas is building two new elementary schools and has selected different construction teams for each. One team will use traditional block/brick and steel construction approach, while the other will use site-cast tilt-up construction. Supporters of tilt-up construction say the method improves energy efficiency and reduces operating costs.
