AT&T: Long Centennial review will dampen M&A activity

The FCC has taken "surprisingly long" to review AT&T's planned purchase of wireless carrier Centennial Communications, a $945 million deal first cut 10 months ago, AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson said Tuesday. He told reporters that such delays would discourage further acquisitions. An AT&T spokesman said the deal was still expected to close by year-end.
