Column: Many expect Congress to approve passenger rights

Columnist Bill McGee says the atmosphere at the recent gathering of proponents as well as opponents of the passenger-rights legislation "had an air of certainty about it." Since the law is part of the latest bill to reauthorize the Federal Aviation Administration, many say it is pretty much a done deal. However, debate continues over specific details, including how long passengers would have to be stuck on a plane before they are allowed to deplane.
