DOE to increase stimulus distribution this fall

By this fall, the Department of Energy hopes to increase its distribution of stimulus funds to $30 billion. So far, the DOE has already distributed $16.7 billion to stimulus projects. Nevertheless, some observers say the DOE is not spending money in a loan guarantee program for clean energy programs quickly enough. They also note that green energy projects will face new challenges once federal funding for green technology runs out.
