Fresh water to flow again into Everglades

A Florida-based company has been awarded an $81 million contract by the Army Corps of Engineers to remove a mile of the Tamiami Trail and replace it with a bridge in the Everglades. Work will also include raising and reinforcing almost 10 miles of the Trail to help make water levels higher.
