PCMA "casting a wide net" to oppose disclosure rule

The Pharmaceutical Care Management Association is working to have disclosure rules, which would require pharmacy benefit managers to report certain financial information, dropped from proposed health care reform bills. One such provision has been approved in a House bill, while a similar amendment has been added to the Senate Finance Committee's bill. Requiring PBMs to disclose this information is akin to making them "play poker with drug companies with our cards facing up," says PCMA President and CEO Mark Merritt.
