Seattle council will consider viaduct agreement

A memorandum of agreement between Seattle and Washington State that details the city's plan to provide just under $800 million in construction funding for a tunnel to replace the Alaskan Way Viaduct was approved by a City Council committee. The full council may consider the project next week. The total cost of the project is estimated at $3.1 billion.
