AIG's exit plan leaves taxpayers still waiting for their money

American International Group has come up with a plan to pay back money it received through the Troubled Asset Relief Program, but the U.S. government likely will have to wait to get its funding back, even if everything goes perfectly. There is no guarantee that the entire $182 billion put into AIG will ever be recovered under the equity-for-debt deal, analysts said.
