Boeing will need 6 more months to deliver the 747-8

Boeing said it will need six additional months to deliver the already-delayed 747-8 Freighter, saying some parts need to be redesigned. The company said it will add another plane to its test fleet to facilitate the process. Cargo carrier Atlas Air, which expected to receive three of its 12 freighters in early 2011, expressed disappointment with the Boeing announcement and said it may seek financial remedies.
