FMI to analyze why cosmetics top the list of stolen items

At the top of the list of items most shoplifted in the U.S. is cosmetics, and the health and beauty category made up 20% of all items stolen from supermarkets in 2008, according to FMI data. The vice president of Industry Relations, Rhett Asher, says FMI is looking into what prompts young criminals to steal these items.
