FMI cheers move toward DOJ organized retail crime division

FMI and other trade groups, plus eBay, praised the House of Representatives for passing a bill that would create a separate Organized Retail Crime division within the Department of Justice. "Our customers' health and safety are at risk when criminals steal over-the-counter medications, diabetic supplies, infant formula and more from stores and then resell these products at flea markets, pawn shops and on [I]nternet auction sites," said FMI President and CEO Leslie G. Sarasin.
