Green Building Council honors Chicago mayor with new award

The Green Building Council has created an urban-leadership award in honor of Chicago Mayor Richard Daley's efforts to turn his city green. Daley will be the award's first recipient in recognition of his "visionary and planet-changing" role in helping Chicago build more LEED-certified buildings than any other city, officials said.
