Most Asian markets slide as concern builds about the yen

Asian-Pacific share markets mostly fell Thursday, as traders worried about a strong yen. Japan's Nikkei 225 dropped 2%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index slid 0.1% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 lost 1.3%. South Korea's Kospi Composite gained 0.3%, China's Shanghai Composite added 1.7% and New Zealand's NZX 50 fell 1.5%. Taiwan's Taiex closed flat, while India's Sensex went down 0.2% and Singapore's Straits Times Index gave up 0.3% in afternoon trading.
