Study shows promising outcomes for pregnant breast cancer patients

U.S. researchers found that about 74% of pregnant breast cancer patients survived five years after cancer diagnosis compared to about 56% of those who were not pregnant upon diagnosis. The findings depart from the current belief that pregnancy poses additional risks to women diagnosed with the disease.
