Advisers need to embrace selling through social media

Clients of financial advisers have changed the way they communicate and now make much greater use of social media than they have in the past, says Clara Shih, co-founder of Hearsay Social, which helps financial services companies implement "social selling." A Cogent Research survey of investors found that among those seeking an adviser or changing advisers, 70% relied on social media, Shih and Hardeep Walia of Motif Investing wrote in a blog post.
