Ala. university seeks advice from companies about cross-discipline program

Employers are looking for graduates with experience in multiple disciplines, rather than those with narrowly defined skills, according to the organizers of the University of Alabama at Birmingham's new Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. University officials polled local employers about their needs and how the university could help match those needs with graduates and student interns.
