BioBus takes students on a scientific journey

A mobile science lab called the BioBus is rolling up to schools around New York City, hoping to hook kids on science. The converted city bus -- created by a Columbia University graduate to reach out to underprivileged and minority students -- is equipped with high-tech microscopes and solar panels. "Kids have a very natural sense of curiosity and wonder," instructor Danny Valdes said, adding, "The magic of the bus is that it taps directly into that."
