Broadcast nets see early hit potential in new series

The broadcast networks are off to a strong start this fall, with ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox each having "at least one promising hit," according to Brad Adgate of Horizon Media. Among the most popular freshman shows are ABC's "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," CBS' "The Crazy Ones," Fox's "Sleepy Hollow" and NBC's "The Blacklist." NBC is leading rivals in the 18-to-49 demographic, boosting its rating in the category by 28% over last season, Nielsen reports.
