Confusion and lack of awareness about ACA persist, poll finds

Three-fourths of Americans who lack health insurance are unaware that the Affordable Care Act's exchanges are set to open, and 53% said they don't have a trusted news source for information about the law, a Kaiser Family Foundation poll found. Some respondents are unsure of whether health insurance will be free, and some think they will be put in jail if they do not buy health insurance. Many said they want the law's features explained in simple language.
