French retailers Leroy Merlin and Castorama opened their stores Sunday in defiance of a court order and now face fines of up to 120,000 euros per store. Officials say they may rethink strict Sunday trading laws. "Given that there are some employees who want to work and shoppers who today want to shop, could we not try to find some kind of path to an appropriate response?" said Budget Minister Bernard Cazeneuve.
