Hospital issues tablets to patients for calling nurses, viewing records

New York-Presbyterian Hospital expects to save money and provide more effective health care for patients by issuing them tablets that allow them to examine their health records and page nurses while at the facility. Hospital officials said the move will help the facility meet new federal guidelines for deploying electronic health records.
