Iraqi mound reveals evidence of ancient city

Archaeologists uncovered an ancient city hidden underneath a mound in Iraq. The city is in northern Kurdistan and was a robust community 2,900 to 3,300 years ago, University of Leipzig archaeologist Cinzia Pappi said. The village of Satu Qala resides atop the area where the ancient city once stood.
