Is kombucha really a cure-all?

Fizzy kombucha tea can now be found in most grocery stores, and while many people abhor the taste they are still willing to pay $4 a bottle for its perceived health benefits. The sugar-sweetened tea fermented with bacteria and yeast may aid in digestion, but health claims remain largely unsupported.
