Ore. district goes high-tech with $500,000 investment

An Oregon school district plans to spend about $500,000 over the next five years on technology, including expanded wireless Internet. The goal, officials say, is for the investment in technology to pay off with improved teaching and learning, including the ability for teachers to meet students' individual needs. It also is expected that enhanced technology will help ease teachers' workloads.
