Pa. oil, gas regulations meet national standards, report finds

Oil and natural gas rules in Pennsylvania meet or even top national standards, but some areas, including water protection standards and information dissemination, could be improved, according to a report from the State Review of Oil and Natural Gas Environmental Regulations. "This review demonstrates that the oil and gas industry in Pennsylvania is matched by world-class oil and gas management and regulations," said Christopher Abruzzo, acting secretary of the state's Department of Environmental Protection.
