Report: Skype costs global carriers $100M per day

VoIP provider Skype costs wireless carriers $100 million a day, according to a report commissioned by Tyntec, a maker of mobile messaging systems. The survey, conducted by the British research firm Mobile Squared, said 43% of the carriers surveyed termed Skype a "major threat" to their business because of the 2 billion minutes of traffic that the company attracts daily among its 280 million active users.
