U.K. plant scientist highlights benefits of GM crops

Genetically modified crops offer a more sustainable, disease-resistant and nutrient-enriched source of food to an expanding global population, U.K. plant scientist Dale Sanders of the John Innes Centre said in this interview. Sanders also emphasized the safety of GM crops and the need for the scientific community to present evidence on the health benefits, climate impact and other aspects of GM crops "objectively and impartially."
