Va., Md., N.J. join drone test-side bid

The governors of Virginia, Maryland and New Jersey have told aviation and transportation officials that they support the goal of universities from their three states to create a joint test site for commercial airspace drones. The University System of Maryland, Rutgers University and Virginia Tech are working together on a site for testing how to integrate drones into national airspace. The Federal Aviation Administration is expected to choose a site by the end of the year.
