Report urges action in combating childhood obesity

A new report prepared for Congress advises children should be weighed and measured annually at school to determine if they are overweight, and nutritional standards should be set for brand-name foods and drinks marketed on school grounds. The recommendations are among many set forth as a means to battling the rising problem of childhood obesity in the nation.
