Schools shaken by new Texas ratings

Hundreds of Texas schools formerly ranked as "exemplary" are disappointed by their lowered ratings just released by the state yesterday. Fewer low-performing schools received the lowest possible rating under the new system, however, because of new provisions that excuse substandard scores in certain situations.
