Report: Ad execs less confident about budgets' growth potential

U.S. ad executives have less confidence about their budgets' likelihood for growth, according to a twice-yearly survey by Advertiser Perceptions Inc. The Media Economy Report, conducted in April and May, found that 33% of advertising budgets were expected to increase over the next six months, an eight percentage point drop from the spring of 2007. Meanwhile, 23% of advertising budgets were expected to decline during that period -- a jump of five percentage points.
