Alon refinery in Texas is cited for safety violations

Alon USA Energy has received a citation from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration for alleged safety problems at its refinery in Big Spring, Texas. The company could face fines amounting to $237,500. This comes after OSHA found that the facility repeatedly breached federal standards for workplace safety. Alon executives said the company is committed to process safety and is working to address the issues.
