CardiAQ Valve Technologies' transcatheter mitral valve implantation tool enabled doctors to accurately place the implantable valve relative to the mitral valve annulus as well as securely anchor the implantable device to the mitral anatomy without depending on radial force, according to preclinical trials. The TMVI system treats mitral valve regurgitation by implanting a mitral valve inside a beating heart with the aid of a catheter.
