Georgia governor to create water task force

Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue created a water task force this week to examine contingency plans for obtaining water from sources other than Lake Lanier. In July, a federal judge gave Georgia three years to stop using Lake Lanier as a source of drinking water. The task force will include 75 to 100 government, business and environmental leaders from across the state.
