Walgreen focuses on remodeling stores

After a year of cutting costs and improving its stores, Walgreen has reported an uptick in quarterly sales. Lower shelves and less cramped aisles are among the improvements. The retailer also has reduced the amount of merchandise it stocks in each store and plans to remodel 400 locations this fall.
