Experts ID mechanism to regulate starch digestion

Researchers have identified a mechanism that may help regulate starch-digesting enzymes known as alpha-glucosidases. The findings in the Journal of Biological Chemistry may lead to the development of food- and supplement-based ways to boost glucose control in diabetes patients and those at risk of obesity.
