Delta to expand current fleet

Delta Air Lines is adding fuel-efficient Boeing 737s to its fleet, as well as used Boeing 717s. The carrier's fleet will feature 12 different aircraft types, and Delta CEO Richard Anderson said its strategy calls for both fuel-efficient new aircraft and low-cost used aircraft. Boeing delivered Delta's first 737-900ER last month, and the 717s are scheduled to arrive this week.
