Districts prepare for transition to online testing under common core

Educators nationwide hope for a smoother testing season in 2013-14 than they experienced last year -- when districts reported glitches, testing errors and other complications. Practice sessions are planned, and education officials are communicating more frequently with test providers ahead of the 2014-15 deadline to convert to online testing aligned with the Common Core State Standards, with districts focused on issues such as improved bandwidth.
