DOT, tenants clash over hangar use in Hawaii

The Hawaii Department of Transportation recently began handing out fines to hangar tenants at Honolulu International Airport, mostly for storage of non-aeronautical equipment. The state says the hangars need to be in compliance so that federal funding will continue, but some tenants say it is a threat to the aviation community.
